Meet Our Founder - Dorothy

Wantok Nurse is a privately owned nursing recruitment agency founded by Dorothy, a dedicated Registered Nurse with 24 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Her journey began in New Zealand’s aged care sector, and she has since developed a diverse nursing career across various clinical settings in both New Zealand and Australia. Dorothy has a strong passion for remote health, having witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by nurses and healthcare services in underserved regions.

Through her experiences, Dorothy recognised the growing demand for reliable and flexible staffing solutions, particularly in remote areas. This realisation inspired her to launch Wantok Nurse, with the vision of supporting both nurses and the healthcare services that need them most.
